BLODGETT FACTORY & PRODUCT TRAINING - For Design Consultants

ESSEX, VT

October 20-22, 2026

Join the Middleby Consultant Services Team this October for an immersive, hands-on training experience at the Blodgett Factory in Essex, Vermont. Set against the backdrop of peak fall foliage in the Northeast, this three-day program is designed specifically for design consultants looking to deepen their expertise in commercial oven solutions and real-world applications.

Participants will gain insight into Blodgett’s legacy of innovation, dating back to 1848, and learn what makes its ovens trusted workhorses across commercial kitchens. Designed for durability, performance, and ease of use, Blodgett ovens deliver consistent, high-quality results in demanding environments where reliability is critical. The training will feature a guided factory tour, in-depth product line sessions, culinary demonstrations, and interactive workshops, along with practical education on solution applications, installation, and servicing fundamentals.

Blodgett’s product portfolio will be explored throughout the program, highlighting how each solution serves a unique role in commercial kitchen design.

Ventless Ovens provide flexibility by eliminating the need for a hood system, making them ideal for nontraditional spaces while reducing installation and energy costs.

ImVection Ovens introduces a multi-chamber design, allowing operators to independently control cooking environments within a single unit for maximum versatility and workflow efficiency.

Hydrovection Ovens offer continuously humidified cooking in a compact footprint, delivering combi-like performance at a more accessible price point.

Convection Ovens remain the industry benchmark for durability and consistency, trusted for decades of reliable use in high-volume settings.

Deck Ovens continue to set the standard for baking performance, favored for their ability to produce high-quality artisan products.

Rotating Rack Ovens provide high-capacity, even baking with minimal labor through a continuously rotating system that ensures consistent results.

Combi Ovens bring together convection, steam, and combination cooking modes in a single, highly adaptable platform designed to meet the needs of diverse foodservice operations.

Beyond the classroom, participants will also have the opportunity to experience the charm of Essex during one of its most scenic seasons, making this both an educational and memorable industry experience.

Travel Details

Please note the recommended arrival & departure times below. You will book your own airfare and be reimbursed after completing the Blodgett Training. Middleby will cover roundtrip, economy fare for North American travel. 

If Arriving and Departing from Burlington International Airport (BTV):

Arrive Prior To: 2:00 PM on Tuesday, October 20th  Depart After: 2:30 PM on Thursday, October 22nd

Please submit your travel itineraries for your flight or if you will be driving below.

Accommodations

Please submit your flight/travel itinerary to confirm the nights needed onsite at your pre-arranged accommodations no later than 10 days prior to the training

Middleby will book your hotel accommodations at the Essex Resort & Spa, which will include a 2 night stay. If you wish to extend your visit to enjoy the Peak Foliage Season, please contact our team for more details. You will receive your hotel confirmation number via email 1 week prior to the training. 

Attendees who do not submit their travel itinerary will be provided with a default reservation for Wednesday and Thursday night of the program. Additional nights needed onsite are subject to availability.  

Upon arrival, it is recommended to use your Uber Voucher (provided via email 1 week prior to training) to the hotel if time allows or directly to Black Flannel Brewery. Addresses for each can be found below.

Cost Reimbursements

All expenses accumulated from travel and onsite for the Blodgett Factory Training event are reimbursable through the expense form below. Please select Consultant Visit on the form. 

Please allow 3–4 weeks for processing after you submit the reimbursement form. Enter the address where the check should be sent: your personal address for personal reimbursements, or your office address for office reimbursements.

FAQs

Can I bring a guest?

Due to high interest, we are limiting this training to 1 member per team.

We ask that no personal guests attend the training with you, however, personal guests are able to travel with you should they wish to enjoy the hotel, amenities and peak foliage season.

If you wish to further extend your visit to Essex, please inquire with our team.

What is included in the training?

-(2) nights of accommodations at The Essex Hotel Resort & Spa

-Roundtrip, North American airfare

-Meals and activities during your training,

-Ground transportation between the airport (BTV), hotel and Blodgett Factory. Uber vouchers will also be provided.

-All taxes, gratuities, and fees.

-Rental Cars

What is NOT included in the training?

Additional nights at the the hotel unless flight options require you to travel in the day prior or depart the following day of the training. Inquire with our team if you are interested in extending your stay beyond the training dates.

Additional airfare incurred by extending trip dates or upgrading flights.

Meals or entertainment outside of training dates.

I registered to attend, now what?

You will receive a email confirming your registration has been received.

Plan to book your own flights based on the agenda parameters listed above.

Attire & Weather

Business Casual Attire is recommended during the training times.

Late October in Vermont, is chilly and unpredictable, with daily highs dropping toward 52F and lows near 38F.

Expect a mix of cool, rainy days and crisp, sunny ones, with the potential for temperatures to fall near or below freezing at night. Be prepared for, and pack, layers and waterproof gear for this rapidly cooling season
